Kevin O'Callaghan, President
After graduating from Trinity College, Kevin began his career in the construction industry in 1983 working with HRH Construction and subsequently, Hunter & Partners. He joined UBS in 1986 and has been President and CEO since 1991. During Kevin's reign, UBS opened offices in the UK, Canada and the DC Metro area. His most memorable projects include: AOL Time Warner Headquarters NYC, The Washington Monument, and Grand Central Terminal.
Chris Evans, Chief Operating Officer, Professional Engineer
Chris has worked in the construction industry for over 25 years, beginning his career with Aluma Systems in 1989, before joining UBS in 2000. He oversees the daily operations of the company and is involved with corporate, field, and yard operations. Mr. Evans holds degrees from both the University of British Columbia, and Columbia University and is a registered Professional Engineer.
Jacques Donovan, Vice President of Fabrication
Jacques started with UBS in 1987, overseeing fabrication—both in-house and with outside vendors—and purchasing of all equipment and materials for the company. Mr. Donovan also runs the UBS Red Hook, NY Yard, managing inventory, the fleet and DOT requirements. Mr. Donovan studied Drawing at SUNY-Dutchess as well as an 5 year apprenticeship with Federal Products in machining and fabrication.
John J. Arvonio, CPA, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
John joined UBS in July 2015 and serves as Chief Financial Officer directing all of the company’s accounting and finance functions. John has over 30 years of proven experience, including four years with Ernst & Young, an international accounting firm servicing clients in a variety of industries. Prior to joining UBS, John was an original founding member of Intervest National Bank and served as the bank’s Chief Financial and Accounting Officer for 17 years. Under his leadership, John helped build Intervest from the ground up to a highly-profitable $2.4 billion bank that was sold to a larger institution. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Accounting Policy and Technical Advisor for The Greater New York Savings Bank and as Manager of Financial Reporting for the Leasing and Investment Banking Divisions of Citibank. Mr. Arvonio is a graduate of Iona College’s Hagan School of Business and is a NYS Certified Public Accountant.
John Curry, Operations Manager
John has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years. He is responsible for recruitment and termination of all Field Personnel. Troubleshooting and resolution of major jobsite detail issues as well as coordination of all personnel & material on all projects. Mr. Curry is a Certified Rigging Instructor, he supervises from inception to completion all company projects including the Washington Monument, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Grand Central Terminal and Union Station.
Bridget Cicero, Project Administrator
Bridget joined Universal Builders in 1988, she has 27 years of experience in the construction industry. Bridget handles all the administrative and office needs for the Construction Division, supervises and assists with field personnel, obtains all necessary permits with NYC Department of Buildings and troubleshoots service calls and customer issues. Ms. Cicero holds a Bachelor of Arts from Manhattanville College.
John Evans, Project Manager
John has worked in the construction industry for almost 30 years beginning his career in Toronto, Canada in 1987. During that time, John has specialized in Project Management within various Industrial markets including Petro-Chemical, Offshore and Shipbuilding. UBS Canada was launched in 2012 and John has overseen all aspects of the Canadian operations as President since that time. UBS Canada services the Industrial and Petro-chemical marketplace in Alberta, Canada.
