Hunters Point South

Hunters Point South is an ongoing development project on Long Island City’s waterfront. Construction began on two new towers in Parcel C of this mixed-use community project in 2019. The two new towers are both intended for residential purposes. The south tower is going to rise to 47 floors, and the north tower will rise to 56 floors. UBS began providing hoist installation on the south tower in September of 2019 and on the north tower a month later. A 7,000 lb capacity dual hoist on the south tower will service from the ground up to the 47th floor, covering 473 ft in total. UBS also constructed 100 ft of sidewalk shed and fencing around this tower. The north tower will consist of two 7,000 lb capacity dual hoists, which will service from the ground up to the 56th floor, totalling 564 ft of coverage. UBS also constructed 95 ft of shed style overhead protection on the ground floor and an additional 145 ft of shed style overhead protection throughout various levels of the site.
